Some Tips on Searching this Site:

The Search feature is provided by Atomz and features a number of powerful tools to assist your search.  If you know exactly what you are searching for use the "Exact Phrase" match.  In all other cases it is best to commence with an "Any Word" search as the word or phrase you are looking for may not be the phrase used by the author.  Try using a single word search and if there are too many hits in return, try gradually narrowing down your search by using the options "Sound-alike", "Any Word", "All Words" or "Exact Phrase".   You can also choose how to display your results either with or without summaries.

It is unlikely that you will find any recent names in your search as these are not provided on the main area of the site and the members area has not been indexed.  However, you will find the Surnames of living people on here.  For information on what to do should you be researching your name and find known ancestors on here, go to the Frequently Asked Questions page (FAQs) and follow the advice given there.

Should you be looking for a specific person that may be connected to the family, please contact the webmaster with as much detail as possible so that we can run our own search on your behalf to see if we are connected.

Above all, please use this search facility to direct you to those subjects that you are interested in.  If you are looking for 17th Century references, try both 17th Century and Seventeenth Century as search strings.  You might just try 17 to start.  If you have any comments about the search capabilities or other comments on this site, please contact the webmaster with these.  Thank you
